Affect of "globalization" on me
When I go to tsutaya to rent a foreign TV drama and watch it at my house, I feel the good aspect of globalization. Foreign movie was of course familiar to us even in 20th century, foreign TV drama was little known for people and enjoyed only by core fan. However, recently,many kind of foreign one were accepted by many people; especially, "Prison Break" "The Lost" "24" "Super Natural" "Full House" are widely seen by people from young to old age. I like the foreign one more than japanese because the story is very interesting and is highly sofisticated. I want japanase one to follow the quality of foreign drama!

ReplyDeleteJapanese dramas and movies are not showy.
But I think they have their charms, " Wabi,Sabi" for example.
I don't know about dramas, but I know that Japanese movies have been good in the past. They still can be good sometimes. I can't stand stereotypical characters, predictable story lines, and cheap tear jerkers though (example "Rookies", "Last Message" etc).
ReplyDeletePrison Break was so exciting but I've not watched the others. Although we can watch anything we want, rental shops spend 1 year to release foreign things. I don't think it's good especially on music.

I have never watched foreign dramas,but I often watch many foreign movies.
Only foreign drama which I watched is "Fullhouse"
